Nothing but excuses, Wednesday 16 January 2008
Projects are piling up day by day. Math, OPW, Literature… Trying to finish them fast, I find myself very busy. I always say “Finish them early and avoid last minute work.” But, as always, its not easy to make everyone co-operate. Some comes up with excuses while some just do not care. Sometime I asks myself “Why must we do in group?” Something else I do not like is finding groups. Like the incident that happened , the class quarreled over to choose our group ourselves or to like the teacher choose. But, what is the objective of group work? To be able to work together as a group? How is this obtained if we choose only those who work well with us, forgetting about the rest who no one wants to work with? Having wasted half an hour arguing on this, the teacher finally decided to choose herself. This caused some of our classmates to get angry having got an “unwanted“ teammate. And so, the project got on without any further delay. Our first meeting happened at a friend’s house. A few miscommunication and misunderstanding delay our meeting ,causing some inconvenience. This taught me that we should have planned before the meeting. When we arrived, we did not do much work and just played. (All the trouble for nothing…)
